Bratislava 2025
Od 11. do 23. novembra privítala Bratislava Shannon Sullivanovú a Moyu De Feyterovú, aby preskúmali jej ulice, zvuky a príbehy a premenili svoje dojmy na verše. Ich slová sa stali súčasťou mesta, oživené prostredníctvom nástenných malieb, ktoré vytvorili Patrícia Koyšová a Lívia Kožuškovová .
Moya De Feyter

we invite the flowers we invite the people
we invite the people to leave the flowers be
we invite the flowers to leave the people be
we invite the people to flower to be and to gently
invite the flowers to flower as flowers
as people who flower to be
we grow words to leave the flowers be
we whisper leaves to leave the people be
we gently invite you to flower and gently
gently be
Shannon Sullivan

Sakura
cherry blossoms flood my memory
mark my season
one year older
i bathe in the offerings of the Sakura
like a waterfall
wash them over me
vanilla-scented impermanence
into the succulent earth receptive
i discharge the dense humming of my brain
bared on the forest floor
the soles of my feet caress pine needles
* based on an interview with Gabriela Vassova - Petrzalka / Pekná cesta, Krasnany
Wall Clock - Petrzalka I
buildings sprouted imposing stalks
of isolation
after the regime
high-rise-honeycomb-matrices
buzzing
busy-ness-men’s-minds
what is the flavour of not knowing your neighbours’ names?
‘a wall clock
was the last thing i took with me
from the grey flat in Petrzalka
crouched on the bank
wall clock at my side
to say good-bye
to the river’
* based on an interview with Gabriela Vassova - Petrzalka
Crow - Petrzalka II
Engerau
grabs our ankles
needles lace
vacant faces
footsteps disjointed
memory limps
* inspired by an interview with Gabriela Vassova and additional research - Petrzalka
more pauses than words
sentences more pauses than words
in whose image do we rebuild
after all we know has been flattened?
the velvet touch of cinderblock walls
promise there will be softness after all the punches
corpus crumpled elongate
i incite you to stand on fractured bones
extract the limbs from the factories
they were once human
the Earth was once alive
pulsing
* inspired by the reports of Alexander Dubcek’s speech on August 27, 1968
Moya a Shannon na medzinárodnom festivale poézie Ars Poetica (20. – 22. novembra 2025).
