Lisa Van der Auwera

Lisa Van der Auwera (1993, Turnhout) is a comic artist and graphic storyteller based in Antwerp. In 2025 she graduated top of her class in the Bachelor of Comics at LUCA School of Arts (Brussels). She is currently combining her Master’s studies with a part-time job in the literary sector. She has self-published several zines, including Heatwaves (2023) and You Have to See Pompeii (2025). Her work draws inspiration mainly from the everyday, while at the same time questioning her role as an observer. At present, the interplay between text and image is the central focus of her practice.
